Tejosh Rana Co-Founder

When I was eight, I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. MD is a genetic mutation that prevents one's genes from giving instructions to a protein called dystrophin, which helps to produce and maintain healthy muscle cells. Over time, my condition got progressively worse. I lost the ability to perform day-to-day activities that most people would take for granted, such as walking, lifting, and cooking. Now, as an adult, I understand the importance of giving back to others after relying on the help of parents and friends for activities that I once could do.

I have the same condition as Tejosh so I have had many similar experiences. Throughout the progression of the condition I realized the importance of depending on others. I need help for many things like bathing and dressing, but I still feel as the master of my destiny. I have endured the frustration of my condition, but this experience only made me more motivated and optimistic. I am pursuing engineering as I want to help the world which has inspired me to consider other avenues like this company for positive change.
